A lock comprises two separable parts consisting of a keeper 15 and hasp 16, the latter being mounted on an attachment bracket 10 and arranged for both pivotal and sliding movement upon the bracket, the hasp 16 being spring-urged to a position in which it may engage the keeper 15 for snap engagement therewith to provide a first degree of security, the hasp being slidable when so engaged to provide a further degree of security, and having lock means for providing a third degree of security. As shown, the hasp is pivotally and slidably mounted on a rod 12 and is urged into engagement with the keeper 15 by a torsion spring 17. A locking disc 22 rotatable by a key and located beween a liner and the inner side of the hasp. includes a nose 24 for engagement in a slot 25 of the keeper 15, such that when the disc is engaged and rotated through 180 degrees it engages a nose of the keeper to prevent pivotal movement of the hasp. In use the hasp is snap-engaged over the keeper and retained by a spring 17, whereafter the hasp is given a sliding movement to engage a tab 21 with a recess 26 in the keeper and to snap-engage a ridge 27, with a ridge 28 on the keeper, to provide key-less locking whereafter the hasp may be locked by key operation of the disc 22.
