Abstract

1,118,330. Room ventilating units. CHRYSLER CORP. 10 Oct., 1966 [13 Oct., 1965], No. 45118/66. Heading F4V. A cover assembly for an air conditioning unit comprises two sections adapted to fit the front of the unit and controls the air flow to and from the unit. The cover assembly comprises a first section 22 of rectangular links pivotally connected to a second section 24, including a decorative panel 26, displaceable in front of the air inlet opening 18 and outlet 20. A plate 30 is pivotally connected to the second section 24 to obstruct a direct air path from the output to the input of the unit. A friction element (not shown) is associated with one or more end brackets 54 and allows intermediate settings between the open position in which the section 22 and plate 30 are substantially at right angles to the front wall 14, and the closed position in which they are substantially flush with that wall.
