1,118,164. Glazing bar assemblies; clips. HANCOCK INDUSTRIES Ltd. 9 Aug., 1965 [12 Aug., 1964], No. 32811/64. Headings E1R and E2B. In a method of securing a glazing clip 20 to a glazing bar 10 local deformation is performed on the clip 20 and bar 10 at the line of mounting the clip 20, the deformed portions engaging to prevent movement of the clip 20 along the bar 10. A hole or depression 28 is formed in the bar 10 and a knib or lug 26 is pressed into it out of the clip 20. A clip portion 24 embraces a bar flange 22 with a suitably weak zone, a bent-over portion 32 engaging the side edge of the pane 18 to hold it on the pane 16.
