1,117,785. Hydrostatic transmissions. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. 8 Oct., 1965 [25 Aug., 1964], No. 34676/64. Heading F2C. A hydrostatic transmission comprises primary and secondary pumps of the swash-plate type, the primary pump having a cylinder block 12 fast with a stationary casing 10 and the secondary pump having a cylinder block 17 fast with an output shaft 16. The primary and secondary swash-plates 14, 19 are fast in rotation with a driving casing 20, which also carries a valve member 24 affording communication between the pumps. The primary swash-plate 14 is of variable inclination, the inclination of swashplate 19 being fixed.
