Abstract

1,113,762. Spray-producers. TUDOR ACCESSORIES Ltd. 6 Feb., 1967 [25 Feb., 1966], No. 8445/66. Heading B2F. [Also in Division F2] A dispenser suitable for distributing liquid weed-killer comprises a container 1 having at or near its top a filling opening provided with a closure cap 3, an air inlet non-return valve (20), Fig. 3 (not shown) and an outlet spout 4 connected to a perforated discharge pipe (11) by a pair of tube sections 6 and 7. The cap 3 is screw-threaded and includes a rubber washer (17). The valve (20) is spring- loaded into a position in which it closes three holes (18) in the cap, the valve being opened by the pressure of the atmosphere when the dispenser is tilted during discharge. A collar 9 joins the sections 6 and 7 and, if required, the collar may be attached directly to the spout 4, the section 6 being omitted. The tube (11) may be twisted to adjust the spray direction and is connected to the section 7 by a right-angle joint 10. The outer end of the tube (11) is closed by a plug (12).
