A fastening arrangement comprises a closure device 1 having an elongated projection 11 mounted on a frame for pivotal movement about a support axis, a lever 6 pivotally connected adjacent one end thereof to the frame and movable between a first position, outstanding from said frame, in which it permits said closure device to be closed against the frame with the projection lying adjacent the pivotal connection of the lever but displaced from the pivotal axis thereof in a direction along said support axis and a second position alongside the frame in which the projection lies both between the lever and the frame and between said pivotal axis and said one end of the lever. In the construction shown the lever is L shaped in cross-section and is pivoted by a pin 7 through a hole in a mounting bracket 8 fixed to a frame member 5.
