Abstract

In a pressurized nuclear reactor system, the containment vessel is provided with apertures which are sealed by panels arranged to be ejected when the interior pressure of the vessel exceeds a predetermined value. Each aluminium panel has a permanently magnetized steel frame attracted to the aperture edge structure. Rubber sealing rings are interposed between the panel and aperture.
