Abstract

1,105,286. Photographic transfer process. EASTMAN KODAK CO. June 16, 1965. No.25371/65. Heading G2C. A photographic process comprises imagewise exposing an unhardened silver halide emulsion layer, developing to produce a visible image, bringing the developed layer in the presence of moisture into contact with a receiving sheet containing an alkali- or alkaline-earth-metal thiosulphate, and separating the emulsion layer and receiving sheet to leave an image-containing colloid stratum on the latter. The receiving sheet preferably also contains a sulphite and/or bisulphite and may be paper, or a supported layer of hydrophilic colloid. The silver halide emulsion layer may comprise a urea, a nitrate or an aromatic sulphonate as softener.
