1,103,802. Reinforcing concrete. BAUSTAHLGEWEBE G.m.b.H. 12 Jan., 1966 [14 Jan., 1965], No. 1384/66. Addition to 1,076,744. Heading D1K. To enable the longitudinal rods 1 and 3 of adjacent reinforcement mats to be situated in the same plane, a stiffening rod 5 is secured to the ends of the transverse rods devoid of the longitudinal rods at that end and is attached thereto on the side opposite to the longitudinal rods, Figs. 1 and 2. Instead of the stiffening rod extending across all of the ends of the transverse rods, short stiffening rods 8 coupling pairs of transverse rods 7 may be used, Fig. 3, not shown.
