Abstract

110,123. Waugh, W. P. May 29, 1917. Glazing.-The panes of glass b, c are, sealed on the upper surfaces and preferably also on their lower surfaces and at their adjacent edges by substantially plastic, water-repellent, and resilient material such as asphalt or bituminous composition 10, 12 protected by layers 14, 17 of asbestos paper or felt or other fibrons material and held in position by bolts 20 resting on a T-bar a and passing through the strip 23, 24, the asphalt or the like 10, 12 and a cap plate 25. The strip 23 has its sides bent under the head of the bar a to act as a clamp and the plate 24 is bent to form gutters 29. The bar a has a protective covering d of asbestos paper or felt.
