Abstract

1,099,617. Shelving. RUBERY OWEN & KEMSLEY PROPRIETARY Ltd. Aug. 16, 1966 [Aug. 19, 1965], No. 36719/66. Heading A4B. A shelving assembly includes brackets 20 cantilever from uprights (11) and supporting shelves 26 having downturned peripheral walls, the side walls 25 having a row (34) of aligned slots 24 and the bracket 20 having laterally projecting flanges 22 selectively engaged in alternate slots 24. Preferably two vertically spaced rows (34, 35) are provided to give a height adjustment of the shelf 26 relative to the bracket 20. A tongue 30 on the side of the bracket 20 engages an aperture 31 in the shelf wall 25 to lock the shelf 26 to the bracket 20. The brackets 20 have hooks 21 at their rear to engage apertures (16) in the uprights (11). The brackets 20 may each be in one piece to support the shelf 26 in a horizontal or a tilted position. Alternatively (Fig. 5), the bracket may comprise two parts pivotally connected to vary the angle of tilt of the shelf.
