Abstract

1,096,331. Electromagnetic relays. ETABLISSEMENTS GERARD MANG. Feb. 1, 1965, No. 4229/65. Heading H2B. The transverse cross-bar at the bottom of a push-rod 14 carried by a spring-biased pivoted armature 16 is alternately engageable in a pair of oppositely inclined slideways 10a, 10b (Fig. 2, not shown), of a pivoted contact actuating rocker 10 and is movable in a locating cavity 26 in the casing, the cavity being provided with a centring notch 27 which ensures that, after each operation, the cross-bar is properly aligned with the slideway 10a or 10b registering therewith. The rocker carries a boss 13 which actuates a contact blade 8a with snap-action. The armature is embraced by a stainless steel frame 18 which prevents the armature sticking to the core and pivotally supports the push-rod 14. The armature is normally held clear of the magnet by a return spring 20, which also holds the end of the armature in a recess 19 in the armature bracket, thereby forming a pivot.
