Abstract

1,095,926. Dispensing liquids by gaseous pressure. I-to-I (PLASTICS) Ltd. Nov. 4, 1966 [Dec. 8, 1965], No. 52039/65. Heading F1R. A temper-proof actuator cap for a pressurized aerosol dispensing container comprises a body portion 5 of plastics material for permanent connection to the container by a flange 6, the top wall having a portion 12 for extending over the container discharge valve and permanently connected to the body portion 5 at its left-hand end and frangibly connected to the rest of the top wall by weakened lines 15, 16, Fig. 1, so that depression of portion 12 breaks the frangible connection to permit actuation of the container discharge valve. The cap has a discharge aperture 7 defined by tapered side walls 8, 9 and a sloping bottom wall 10 which has a recess 11 for receiving the discharge valve button, a projection 19 corresponding to recess 11 is provided on portion 12. Slots 17, (18), Fig. 3 (not shown), permit resilient deformation of portion 12.
