[Also in Division B8] An expendable, collapsible tray for cooking food is formed from a quadrangular blank (1) of deformable heat-resistant sheet, such as aluminium sheet, provided with two sets of fold lines (2), (3) and (6), (7) parallel to the shorter and longer sides respectively to define four marginal flaps (4), (5), (8), (9), the ends of which intersect each other in quadrangular zones (11), (13), (15), (17) which are subdivided by the provision in each of a further fold line (12), (14), (16), (18) along the diagonal thereof which extends between the inner and outer corners of the intersect zone, the said marginal flaps being foldable over a middle portion of the blank along the fold lines (2), (3), (6), (7) for flattening the tray for storage and also foldable perpendicularly to the said middle portion to form a tray rim therearound, the said flaps being retained in such an erected position by the turning over against the erect marginal flaps of four triangular wings (11a), (13a), (15a), (17a) which result from such erection and from folding the blank along the fold lines (12), (14), (16), (18), the blank being provided with a third set of fold lines comprising a middle line (19) and a plurality of further lines (20), (21), (22) perpendicular thereto, for the purpose of allowing further folding of the blank when in a flattened condition thereby to further reduce the size thereof. The flattened and folded tray may be contained in a wrapper which also holds ingredients for preparing the food to be cooked in the tray.
