Abstract

1,094,208. Continuous-casting machines. I. PROPERZI. Feb. 15, 1966 [March 20, 1965], No. 6643/66. Heading B3F. In apparatus for continuously casting of Cu or its alloys or A1 in the peripheral groove of a wheel 1 closed by an endless metal belt 5, the molten metal is fed from a crucible 4 into the groove through a tapering trough 7 closed by the belt 5 to form a tubular nozzle. The top of the nozzle is closed by a wall 15 with a tube (16), Fig. 2 (not shown), through which oxygen, argon or nitrogen may enter.
