[Also in Division B8] Apparatus for de-panning and conveying baked products, such as loaves of bread, rolls or buns, comprises a travelling conveyer belt 15 having an upwardly inclined first flight 17, along which pans filled with baked products are conveyed, and a downwardly inclined second flight 18, along which empty pans are conveyed to a discharging conveyer 46. Magnetic devices 24 may be provided under the flights 17 and 18 to hold the pans thereon. Each of the flights 17 and 18 may be inclined at 12 degrees to the horizontal. The flights 17 and 18 meet to form an apex 22, where the filled pans are tilted below the suction flight 28 of an endless travelling belt 25 pierced by openings 26. The suction thus applied to the baked products removes them abruptly from the pans to the underside of the flight 28, where they are held by the suction and carried to a point where suction is not applied, and there deposited on to a discharging conveyer 43. Jets of compressed air issuing from nozzles 47 may be directed downwardly on to the baked products approaching the apex 22, so as to loosen the products from the pans and help the products to move towards the flight 28. In an alternative construction of the apparatus, Figs. 6 and 7 (not shown), the first and second flights are provided by two separate, pivotally mounted, endless conveyer belts, which can be adjusted on their mountings, as by jacks, to vary the inclinatoins of said flights, e.g. to bring them into horizontal alignment.
