A device for aligning a door with its frame or a companion door comprises a floor door spring shoe 10, secured to the door 14 and having a strap 12 arranged within the shoe and mounted for limited swinging movement about the axis of the floor door spring spindle 16 by means of a composite adjusting screw 20 held captive within the shoe to prevent axial movement but rotatable from either side of the shoe. The screw 20 comprises two interengaging screws 22, 28 secured together by a pin 32.
