Abstract

1,091,630. Multiple retractable ball-point pens. A. HAUSER & CO. KOMM. GES. April 7, 1966 [April 7, 1965], No. 15644/66. Heading B6P. In a multiple, retractable, push-button, ballpoint pen, the suspension ball 5 of a pendulum rod selector 18 is held in a blind bore 17 in the push-button 1 by a tight-fitting bush 8. The lower edge of the bush 8 forms non-circular guide edges 20 (Fig. 3), which locate the lower end of the pendulum rod 18 over the head 11 of a selected carrier, when the instrument is tilted in the required direction. The push-button 1 is retained in the projected and retracted position against the bias of compression spring 9 by a known ball 6 and heart-shaped cam mechanism 7.
