Abstract
1,091,380. Burners. L'AIR LIQUIDE SOC. ANON. POUR L'ETUDE ET L'EXPLOITATION DES PROCEDES GEORGES CLAUDE. April 22, 1966 [May 5, 1965; Feb. 14, 1966], No. 17775/66. Heading F4T. In a burner arrangement for cracking and burning low molecular weight hydrocarbon fuels such as natural gas, propane and butane the burner includes a premixing chamber 1 into which opens a supply pipe for gaseous primary fuel and a pipe 3 for air or other combustion supporter, and a secondary fuel supply pipe 4 opens at a central hole 6 formed in a disc 5 disposed at the outlet of chamber 1, the primary mixture being ignited at the periphery of disc 5 to set up downstream a zone of recycled hot gases into which is introduced the secondary fuel from pipe 4. In a modification the secondary pipe is a branch pipe from the main fuel pipe.
