Abstract

109,007. White, A. E., (Toledo Scale Co.). Feb. 1, 1917. Pendulum-weight apparatus. - In a weighing-scale of the kind having two pendulum levers arranged so as to avoid the necessity for accurate levelling of the machine, the usual platform levers are coupled by a rod 27 to an " equalizer " bar 28, the extremities of which are coupled by links 29 to two levers 32 arranged side by side and carrying pendulums 49. The outer extremities of the levers 32 carry adjustable segments 44 with flexible ribbons 35 connecting with a second "equalizer" bar 36. To the centre of the " equalizer " bar 36 is attached a rack 38 for actuating indicating-pointers 8 arranged at each side of the casing. A dash-pot 51 is attached to one of the levers 32.
