A building panel comprises a matrix of foamed material - e.g. foamed plaster, foamed concrete or foamed plastics -cast around a metal reinforcement grid composed of a pair of transverse channels, rods, strips &c. connected by a plurality of longitudinal tubes, channels strips &c. The panel may have a premoulded jacket of polyvinyl chloride. Preferably the embedded reinforcement comprises a pair of aluminium channels interconnected by aluminium tubes.
