Abstract

1,087,327. Cutting apparatus. TOKYO-KIKAI - SEISAKUSHO KABUSHIKI KAISHA. Oct. 20, 1964, No. 42740/64. Heading B4B. [Also in Division B6] A paper cutting apparatus of a rotary press comprises a folding cylinder 1, Fig. 1, having rubber seats 2 pressing against a serrated knife 4 protruding from the surface of a cutting cylinder 3, said knife 4 being held in knife holders 11, 11<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 3, secured to casings 10, 10<SP>1</SP>. The knife holders provide housings for paper press members 12, 12 1 made of rubber or plastics material and co-operating with the rubber seats 2. Clearances 14, 141 and 13, 13<SP>1</SP> are left between the casings and knife, respectively, to allow for lateral distortion of the press members 12, 12<SP>1</SP> when these co-operate with the seats 2.
