Abstract

1,087,179. Feeding sheets. MIEHLE GOSS DEXTER Inc. Aug. 4, 1965 [Oct. 12, 1964], No. 33379/65. Heading B6B. In a sheet-feeding device wherein inclined rollers 4 forward the sheets 16 and at the same time move them laterally against a side guide 13, each roller is driven by engagement of a gear-wheel 5 thereon with an internally-toothed belt common to all the gear-wheels, the teeth on the gear-wheels being parallel to those on the belt. As shown, the teeth on the wheels 5 and belt are perpendicular to the direction of feed, but they may be parallel to the axes of the rollers 5. The belt passes over toothed rollers 7, 8, one of which may be coupled to a bucklefolding machine so that the sheets are fed forward at the speed of the folding rollers. Adjacent to the side guide 13, weighting balls 14 may be freely mounted.
