Abstract
1,086,940. Vehicle wheels. L. MUSOLA. March 7, 1966 [March 9, 1965], No. 9951/66 Heading B7C. An auxiliary spoked wheel is expansible from a retracted position to the diameter shown, to increase fraction on e.g. icy roads, by drawing each spoke 9 in turn radially inwardly against a leaf spring 4 by means of a tool 14 and manually rotating throughs 180 degrees an anchor member 12 pivoted eccentrically on the spoke. A continuous substantially helical spring 8 is carried by arcuate segments 7 connected to the central portion 2 of the auxiliary wheel by the spokes 9 and springs 4 (see also Fig. 1, not shown).
