108,667. Junggren, O. Aug. 10, 1916, [Convention date]. Combined - flow type; oppositely-running rotor type.-Relates to combined-flow installations of the kind described in Specification 100,484. A radial-flow reaction turbine comprising oppositelyrunning rotors 6, 7 on shafts 8, 9 is' arranged to discharge in parallel through pipes 35, 36 into two axial-flow impulse turbines 30, 31 separate and distinct from the radial-flow turbine bar on the same shafts and in the same or separate casings. Motive fluid is supplied to the turbine 6, 7 through pipes 18, 19, 20, chambers 16, 17 and openings 21, 22, 23, 24; while, to meet overload, fluid is supplied to an intermediate point by pipes 25, 26. The wheels 6, 7 are overhung on the shafts 8. 9, which are each supported by two bearings, such as 11, 9<a>.
