Abstract

Linings in shoes and garments, particularly in the breast cups of brassieres, are dispensed with by flock-coating, using an adhesive, the inside and/or outside of a garment, garment part &c., woven or knitted from synthetic yarn, which may be spun, endless multifilament or monofilar, after the garment, garment part &c. has been thermoplastically shaped. Suitable yarns include polyamides, polyesters and polyurethanes, a suitable adhesive is a polyacrylate dispersion and suitable flocks are polyacrylonitrile having a titre of 3 denier and a 2mm. cut length and polyamide-6 flock.
