Abstract

1,085,537. Masted lift trucks. LANSING BAGNALL Ltd. April 4, 1966 [April 12, 1965], No. 15528/65. Heading B8H. A lift truck 10 comprises a chassis 11, a detachable mast 19 with two or three sections the first of which is fixed and comprises a bottom cross-member 22. The mast 19 is pivoted on trunnions 24 in trunnion blocks 26 each of which comprises a bottom section 25 and an upper section 28 pivoted thereto at its rear end and held down by a bolt 29 hinged to the lower section 25 and a nut 30. When the nut 30 is released the bolt 29 can be swung forward and the upper section 28 swung upwards to release the trunnion 24 on that side of the mast. The trunnion blocks 26 are some distance above the bottom end of the mast 19 and a pair of tilt jacks 40 is pivoted at 40 to the chassis 11 and to the bottom cross-member 22 through an angle-shaped cross-member 32 to which it is bolted. The mast may be removed with its lifting carriage 23 mounted on it by releasing the bottom cross-member 22 from the angle-shaped cross-member 32, releasing the upper sections 28 of the trunnion blocks 26 and disconnecting a quick release self-sealing coupling to the mast lifting jack 41.
