Abstract

1360656 Masted lift trucks CLARK EQUIPMENT CO 29 Sept 1971 [5 Oct 1970] 45304/71 Heading B8H A forwardly projecting frame 50, rotatably supporting a fork assembly 90 about a vertical axis, is connected to the lifting carriage 24 by means of X-links 42, 44 which are arranged so as to permit the frame 50 to be moved from one side of the truck to the other. The links 42, 44 are pivoted at their lower ends to the lifting carriage and frame 50 respectively and are slidably connected at their upper ends to the frame 50 and to the lifting carriage, respectively, an hydraulic ram 80 being provided for actuating the links. The fork assembly 90 is rotatable by means of a pair of hydraulic rams 122, interconnected by a chain passing around a sprocket 127, and means (not shown) may be provided for raising and lowering the fork relative to the frame 50. The fork is tiltable under the action of an hydraulic ram, Fig. 8 (not shown). Shafts 150 152 mounted on the lifting carriage are provided with pinions 154, 155 engaging racks 156, 157 on the mast.
