Abstract
A lawn, green or playing field is formed by levelling and compacting the soil, providing openings of substantially 5 cms. in width extending from the surface of the soil into a drainage zone and filling the openings with filler material having a large cavity volume, a thin layer of seeds and material for embedding the seeds and permitting them to germinate being applied and retained on the soil. The embedding material may be stray, hay, turf, sawmill waste or the seeds may be mixed with asphalt emulsion and humus and sprayed on to the soil.ALSO:A lawn, green or playing field is formed by levelling and compacting the soil, providing openings of substantially 5 cms. in width extending from the surface of the soil into a drainage zone and filling the openings with filler material having a large cavity volume, a thin layer of seeds and material for embedding the seeds and permitting them to germinate being applied and retained on the soil.
