Abstract

1,082,161. Epicyclic gearing. ZKL ZAVODY NA VALIVA LOZISKA A TRAKTORY NARODNI PODNIK. Jan. 28, 1965 [Jan. 29, 1964; July 11, 1964], No. 3790/65. Heading F2D. A six-speed tractor transmission comprises two three-element epicyclic gear units P, R in series and controlled for ratio shift by two brakes 11, 12 and three clutches 13, 14, 15, the ring gear 6 of unit P being connectable to the pinion 3 of an auxiliary power take-off drive. Clutches 13, 14 of unit P connect the ring gear with the auxiliary drive pinion 3 and the main drive shaft 16 respectively, while clutch 15 of unit R connects the planet carrier and sunwheel. Brake 11 controls the ring gear of unit P, and brake 12 controls the sun-wheel of unit R. The planet carrier 7 of unit P is connected to the ring gear of unit R. The arrangement of the units P, R may be reversed, Fig. 4 (not shown). The six ratios are obtained by engagement of the members specified-first, brakes 11, 12; second, clutch 13 and brake 12; third, clutch 15 and brake 11; fourth, clutches 13, 15; fifth, clutch 14 and brake 12; sixth, clutches 14, 15.
