Abstract
1,082,000. Reservoir brushes. G. S. CROMPTON. Oct. 14, 1964 [Dec. 17, 1963], No. 49872/63. Heading A4K. In a reservoir paint brush, the head moves angularly with respect to the handle, on bending the bristles sideways during painting, to open a pinch valve, controlling the flow of paint to the bristles. The brush stock may be detachably carried on a plate 114. A yoke 108, supporting the plate, is pivotally mounted on the brush handle by screws 110. When no lateral pressure is exerted on yoke 108, it is centred by engagement of projections 134 with the ends of jaws 124 and 125 while these are urged by springs 128 to close resilient tube 100. On displacing yoke 108, one or other of the jaws 124, 125 is lifted from tube 100 to permit flow of paint therethrough.
