Abstract

A polymeric composition comprises a main polymer and a concentrate wherein the carrier is a polymer of 1-butene and the dispersed additive is in at least 5% by weight. The main polymer preferably is a polymer of an olefin, e.g. polyethylene, polypropylene or a mixture thereof. Specified additives are carbon black, Ca and Mg carbonates, SiO2, asbestos, china clay, zinc and iron oxides, lignin, coal, a silicate, cork and wood dust, cellulose, phthalocyanine blue and green, cadmium red and yellow, and benzidine yellow. In examples, dilauryl thiodipropionate and butylidene bis-(6-t.Bu-m-cresol) are present as stabilizers.
