Abstract

539,834. Polyvinyl. chloride compositions. FAIRWEATHER. H. G. C. (Goodrich Co., B. F.). June 5, 1940, No. 9844. [Class 2 (iii)] [Also in Group V] A composition which is not appreciably altered by oil contains a plasticized polyvinyl chloride free from vinyl chloride and neoprene free from chlorobutadiene. An example of a composition contains equal weights of neoprene and the gamma polymer of vinyl chloride and smaller quantities of tricresyl phosphate, litharge or zinc oxide, rosin, magnesia, phenyl- #-naphthylamine, maleic acid and lead silicate. The neoprene may be vulcanized in the mixture.
