Abstract

1,080,376. Railway vehicles. NIKEX NEHEZIPARI KULKERESKEDELMI VALLALAT. Sept. 4, 1964, No. 36446/64. Heading B7L. A bogie-less railway vehicle includes a pair of wheel and axle sets the axle boxes 4, Figs. 1 and 2, of which each have a pair of extensions 5 to which is suspended, by swing links 6, a closed frame 2 surrounding the box 4 and vertically slidable between horn plates 1 secured to the underframe of the vehicle body shown in dotted lines in Fig. 1, guides 3 being provided on the upper and lower members of the frame 2 to receive rollers 7 on coaxial pins on the top and bottom of the axle box, the upper guides and lower guides lying in a common circular path of radius R and with its centre midway between the two axles, so that the axles are alignable with radii of a curved railway track. The ends of the links 6 are universally pivotably connected to the extension 5 and the frame 2. The vehicle body is supported from the frames 2 at each side by a pair of cantilevers 8 hinged at 9 to brackets 10 secured to the underframe, a rubber or steel spring 11 being sandwiched between each pair of cantilevers.
