Headings B8A and B8J. - A drive or reversal station 3 of a longwall conveyer 4 which can be shifted as coal-getting progresses is guided on a bracing beam 2 transversely of the face is characterized in that the machine frame of the station 3 lies on a base element in the form of a plate 13 hinged at 7 to a base member 6 in the form of another plate. The base member 6 and the base element 13 may constitute an independent structural unit or the base element 13 may be part of the frame of the station 3. The base member 6 is connected to the beam 2 through a swivel 8 and a guide 5 slidingly arranged on the beam 2. The station 3 is jacked up by introducing compressed air (or a pressure liquid) into a set of air cushions 9 of rubber or the like. The oblique position is secured by a bolt 10 engaging a bored extension 11 of the base element 13 and a support 12 articulated to the base member 6, whereupon the air cushions 9 are relieved of pressure.
