Loose-letter and like signs.-In interchangeable letter signs in which the letters are suspended on wires, each wire is stitched between a pin and a screw or a pair of screws. Fig. 1 shows one construction. The frame or moulding A is provided with recesses or grooves B for the pins and screws G, C between which the wires F are stretched, and the backing I, which may be transparent or otherwise, is secured in a rabbet H by a turnbutton J, or slides in grooved slots such as K. A glazed front may be fitted to cover the recesses B, being secured by corner fittings.
