Abstract

1,076,436. Refrigerators. N. E. WAY. April 20, 1966, No. 17243/66. Heading F4H. In an open-topped refrigerated display cabinet the liner and shell are formed integrally of a synthetic resin, serially connected evaporators 17 are disposed along the front and rear edges of the cabinet adjacent the top thereof and the suction line 22a is coiled around the liner. The evaporators are arranged below flanges 13 formed on the cabinet edges and above drip trays 17a, baffles 17b being provided inwardly of the evaporators. A ledge 16 in the liner supports shelves 18 and the shell is formed with a depending skirt 8a which embraces a wooden supporting frame 30. In longitudinal section (Fig. 3, not shown), the cabinet is stepped to provide a machinery compartment. The synthetic resin is preferably reinforced with glass fibre and the cabinet insulation 27 comprises cork.
