Abstract
1,076,179. Mould materials. E. R. A. LARSSON. Nov. 19, 1964 [Nov. 19, 1963], No. 47125/64. Heading B3F. A mould for casting steel is coated with a coating comprising in the dry state at least 50% by weight of aluminium fluoride. Cryolite, other metal fluorides, and organic fluorous binding agent such as P.T.F.E. may be added. The coating may be applied as a suspension in a volatile liquid such as water, to a heated mould.
