Abstract

1,075,029. Burners. MESSER GRIESHEIM G.m.b.H. Nov. 29, 1965 [Nov. 27, 1964], No. 50532/65. Heading F4T. In a burner having a replaceable welding or cutting insert (6, 13, 7) connected to an oxygen supply (4) on a handle (1), a passage (12) extends from the joint faces between the insert and the nipple to either a fuel gas passage (19) or an oxygen passage so as to put the connection under suction. The joint may be sealed by either a single radial seal or by two radial seals (8, 9) and in the latter case the passage (12) extends from the annular chamber (11) between the seals. The replaceable insert comprises a pipe (7) leading to the burner nozzle and soldered to a mixing nozzle (13) screwed to an injector nozzle (6).
