Abstract

1,075,019. Electromagnets. ELECTRICAL REMOTE CONTROL CO. Ltd. Dec. 16, 1965 [Dec. 18, 1964], No. 51669/64. Heading H1P. A solenoid comprises a U-shaped yoke (A) within which is disposed a coil (E) encircling and attracting the upright limb of a T-shaped armature (D). Rectangular shading rings (F) and (G) encircle downwardly facing projections (B), (C) on the cross-limb of the armature, and establish an outphased magnetic field to retain the armature attracted when the alternating coil energization current passes through zero.
