An alloy has the following percentage composition:- ..Tl.0.005 - 1 ..Ga.0.01 - 1 ..Zn.0.3 - 5 .one.Ba.0.1 - 5 ..Hg.0.001 - 0.5 ..Sn.0.01 - 10 ..Mg.1 - 25 ..Al.the remainder The alloy may be used to form sacrificial anodes, anodes for primary batteries, metal coatings, galvanic pigments in paints and active ingredients in flares; it may also be used in chemical reductions.
