An alloy consists of .In.0.01 - 0.5% .Ga.0.01 - 0.2% .Al.the remainder The alloy has a high oxidation potential and may be used for cathodic protection anodes, paint pigments, primary cell anodes, coatings, as an active ingredient in flares, as a reducing agent and in the preparation of aluminium alkyls.
