Abstract
Compounds of the formula <FORM:1070326/C4-C5/1> where Ar is aromatic (see Division C2), are organic luminophores. Products obtained in examples are stated to be of use in luminescent aerosols and pencils and in luminescence defectoscopy.ALSO:Compounds of the formula <FORM:1070326/C2/1> in which Ar is an aromatic radical, are prepared by reacting the corresponding aryl sulphonyl chloride with anthranilic acid in the presence of pyridine, e.g. at a temperature of 20-90 DEG C. Examples prepare compounds as above in which Ar is 4-methylphenyl, 4-isopropylphenyl, 2,4,6-trimethylphenyl and 2-naphthyl, and these particular compounds are claimed as novel. The products of the invention are luminophores (see Division C4).
