Abstract

1,069,559. Egg boxes &c. BRODENE HARTMANN A.S. Dec. 6, 1965 [Dec. 9, 1964], No.51652/65. Heading B8P. A container for fragile articles, e.g. a moulded pulp egg box, comprises a container section (10), Fig. 1 (not shown), and a hinged cover section (12), the container section having a number of article receiving compartmente 16 arranged in parallel rows, and the cover section having ribs 28 spaced above and extending over the rows and including divergent outer side walls 30 and inner side walls 36, and a roof panel 40, which may have a reinforcing rib 42, connecting the inner side walls 36, there being formed articlereceiving apertures in at least one of the side walls of each rib and in the roof panel. Several containers of the size shown in Fig. 1 may be connected side-by-side by lines of weakness. In a modification, Figs. 10 and 11 (not shown), the ribs are transverse to the hinge and there is a central rib (229) which has apertures on both of its sides.
