Abstract
1,068,912. Casting processes. CONCAST A.G. Aug. 4, 1964 [July 25, 1963], No. 30568/64. Heading B3F. Addition agents are fed to the casting jet, particularly in continuous casting, in the form of wire which is surrounded by a jacket of flowing gas. The gas is inert or reducing, e.g. propane, butane, acetylene or argon and also flows on the surface of the melt in the mould. The addition agent may be aluminium, titanium, boron, magnesium and is fed through a tubular guide which also incorporates the gas nozzle means.
