Abstract
1,068,860. Combine-harvesters. MASCHINENFABRIK FAHR. A.G. Dec. 18, 1964 [Dec. 27, 1963], No. 51548/64. Heading A1F. A combine-harvester grain-tank 1 has a flanged outlet 2 to which can be clamped a flanged bagging member 4, the member having a spout 10 rotatably mounted thereon and turnable to alternative positions of discharge against the pressure exerted by springs 15. The mating flanges of the members 2, 4 are hinged together, at 3, and are releasably clamped by a hook 5 so that the bagging member may be swung into a parked position (Fig. 5) and replaced by a discharge elevator 7 with a delivery auger 8. The bagging member carries a vertical plate 9 to which the spout 10 is secured by a U-shaped handle 12, the limbs of which are encircled by springs 15 and pass through arcuate slots 13 in the plate 9 enabling the spout to be swung into register with either of two sack-holding rims 23, 24 in a funnel 19. The rims have catches 25 to retain the sacks thereon.
