Abstract

The invention provides triazine reactive dyes which have the formula <FORM:1067876/C4-C5/1> in which D is a radical of an azo, anthraquinone, nitro or phthalocyanine dye, Hal is a chlorine, bromine or fluorine atom, R is a hydrogen atom or a low alkyl radical of 1-5 carbon atoms, R1 is a low alkyl radical of 1-5 carbon atoms, n is 1 or 2 and X is an ether, thioether or mono- or di-substituted amino group. Azo, metallized azo, phthalocyanine and anthraquinone dyes are exemplified and are manufactured by conventional processes or by acylating compounds of formula <FORM:1067876/C4-C5/2> with a compound of formula <FORM:1067876/C4-C5/3> The dyes provide red, yellow, blue, black shades in a wide range of textile materials. missing page 214ALSO:In Example 129 wool is dyed with the reactive dye of Example 1 in an acetic acid bath at the boil for one hour a yellow shade is obtained.
