Abstract

The invention provides dyes of general formula <FORM:1087664/C4-C5/1> in which R1 is an unsubstituted alkyl radical, R2 is an alkyl radical which may be substituted by halogen and halogen is a bromine or chlorine atom. The dyes are prepared by diazotizing an amine of the formula below and coupling with a coupling compound of formula below <FORM:1087664/C4-C5/2> <FORM:1087664/C4-C5/3> in which all symbols are as above. The dyes give reddish-blue colours on synthetic and semi-synthetic materials.ALSO:Polyester fibres are dyed with aqueous dispersions of dyes of formula <FORM:1087664/D1-D2/1> in which R1 is an unsubstituted alkyl radical, R2 is an alkyl radical which may be substituted by halogen, and halogen represent chlorine or bromine. Carriers may be used and high pressure dyeings are effected, reddish blue shades are obtained.
