Abstract

1,067,839. Reciprocating pump and motors. C. VAN DER LELY N. V. June 23, 1964 [July 8, 1963], No.26000/64. Heading F1A. A valve plate 11 engaged by a rotatable cylinder block 1 has ports 13, 14 co-operating with cylinder ports 9. The rear face of the plate 11 has chambers 17, 18 in which fit members 19, 20 having ports 22, 23 for the passage of liquid to the passages 24, 25. Between the ports 13, 14 are further ports (15), (16) which communicate with chambers in the rear face, each of which is fitted with a piston-like member. The pressures acting on the plate are substantially balanced which prevents tilting and distortion of the plate.
