SITZ WIESBADEN ZWEIGNIEDERLASSUNG GULDNER-MOTOREN-WERKE ASCHAFFENBURG.] June 30, 1961 [July 1, 1960], No. 23732/61. Heading F1A. [Also in Division F2] In a swash plate pump comprising a rotary cylinder block 1 abutting a valve plate 4, at least one of the valve plate kidney ports 5 is subdivided into at least two parts each communicating with a separate inlet or outlet line 6. In the Fig. 3 embodiment for supplying two motors under different loads, the width of the separating loads 21a, 21b between inlet ports 5a, 5b and outlet ports 5c, 5d, respectively, may be made such that a limited flow between each pair of ports via a cylinder is permitted up to a predetermined maximum flow, thereby providing a limited differential effect at the motors. In the Fig. 9 embodiment, the relative lengths of the inlet and outlet ports are variable by angular movement of members 41, 42 relative to lands 51, 52, e.g. for use in caterpillar drives. Concussion prevention driving overlap by lands 20a, 20b, Fig. 3, is achieved by one or more ducts 22 in each land connected either to a separate chamber, or to the adjacent inlet and outlet ports. The separate chamber may be provided with a flexible diaphragm. Pump output is regulated by relative tilting between the cylinder block and the swash plate.
